Chris Bodle’s practice most often uses temporary, site-specific installations that prompt us to question the relationship between our ‘tamed’ modern world and the big forces of nature that we see as separate from ourselves. Inevitably this has encompassed the subject of climate change and the broader ecological crisis.

Most of the work he makes is accessible and engaging to a wide audience. This is done by creating visually arresting or conceptually provocative pieces; displaying them in public places and by exploring themes that affect us all.

His projects usually involve working across disciplines and through collaboration. These collaborations have included climate scientists, computer programmers, creative technologists, historians, architects, community groups, politicians, activists and other artists.

Chris’ work has been featured in books and journals internationally. It has also reached a wide general audiences in the UK and around the world through media coverage and mainstream websites & blogs.

He has a first degree in Fine Art and MA in Landscape Architecture.
